Unwind at a Jimjilbang
Bathhouses are more than a trip to the spa for Koreans, they’re an integral part of culture. Most are open 24 hours and are a place where people come to unwind and socialize. There are unisex areas equipped with pools, showers, and massage services to be enjoyed in the buff. If being naked in front of strangers sounds intimidating, there is often a clothed, coed section where friends gather to hang out at saunas and relaxation rooms, or dine at the in-house café. Dragon Hill Spa, outside of Yongsan Garrison, is a Western-friendly jimijlbang that feels like an entertainment complex with amenities like arcades, karaoke, and cinema rooms. Aquafield has a more upscale, peaceful vibe with views of the Han River.
