Punk and rock bands frequent the stage at this divey East Side icon, known as much for its musical acts as for a wildly popular cocktail served in a ceramic cup in the shape of a toilet. Though the recipe for this pinkish-brownish drink has never been divulged, empirical research proves it is both potent and tasty. Owner P. Moss invented the drink as a marketing ploy and it has worked—over a million have been served. (He also mixes a savory drink called the Bacon Martini.) The club is set up for fun: In addition to the huge bar, it has a host of pool and pinball tables.
