Huge Flavors From One of Ottawa's Smallest Breweries
One of the newest additions to Ottawa's rapidly-expanding microbrewery scene, Dominion City Brewing Co. is producing beers that taste like they're made by seasoned brewmasters with decades of experience in the precious chemical balancing act that is brewing. The crazy thing is, this is actually an extremely small operation - 3 young guys with day jobs outside of the brewery. All that aside, one sip of the golden brews is enough to prove these strapping young lads know what they're doing.
While the location is hidden in a maze of an industrial park, it's well worth the trek for a tasting of the latest batch. Highly recommended are the Earl Grey Marmalade Saison and the Blonde Ale, packing in the sorts of complex flavors typically found in Belgian beers.
Taste them all, buy a growler, and welcome the lads into the ever-evolving Canadian beer scene.
