Dingboche

Dingboche 56000, Nepal

On the trail to Everest Base Camp, it’s commonplace to find an impressive mountain view. I took it for granted on the road even though I stopped frequently to gawk and stare. Looking back through my high altitude photos from my trek to Everest Base Camp, I remember how beautiful the area: The green trees were left behind thousands of vertical feet ago. The area is feels like it could be the moon. Yet the stillness in the air and brightness of the Nepali people we meet brings enough warmth and charm to forget we are so high up in the tallest mountain range on earth.
