Sweet, Japanese-inspired treats
When I first moved to New York City
, I moved with a bible. No, I'm not the least bit religious, unless worshiping sugar is a thing. So with Susan Meisel's book New York Sweets as my guide, I made my way to Dessert Club to try the highly recommended cookie éclair cone.... I just wasn't quite smart enough to remove the napkin from the cone before posing for a picture. Other options include mille crepe cakes, green tea ice cream, and even bread pudding. Ask about their classes in Japanese pastries and culture, too. Much cheaper than a plane ticket.
