One of the best ways to see Alaska is from a plane. The scenery is hard to beat with snowcapped mountain ranges so breathtaking that you may find your camera-hand tired from taking so many photographs. Start at Lake Hood and take a three-hour trip via floatplane across Cook Inlet to Denali and the Ruth Glacier, a 64-kilometer-long river of ice that flows into the world’s deepest trench, known as the “Great Gorge.”
