Does it just so happen that Bermuda
is shaped like a fishhook? Maybe, but it’s also a sign that the fishing in the surrounding waters is good—real good. Big-game anglers go after wahoo, yellowfin tuna, and blue and white marlin. The fishing is best from May to October, but charters can take you into the deep sea any time of the year. The most popular sites are Argus Bank and Challenger Bank, a pair of submerged volcanic rock outcroppings. Unlike at many other destinations, the catch is usually kept by the boat. If you want to cook what you hook, talk to your captain prior to sailing.
