Every late summer/early autumn, Philip Glass presents a week of music, art, dance, film, and theater in Big Sur and Carmel. Two years ago the Philip Glass Ensemble performed their live soundtrack to the '31 film "Dracula" under the canopy of the redwoods at Henry Miller Library. There were also drive-in nights in Carmel Valley, as well as chamber music and dance performances.
Last year Godfrey Reggio spoke about his landmark film "Koyaanisqatsi" before an outdoor screening, and Philip Glass performed a duet evening with Gambian musician Foday Musa Suso at Carmel's Sunset Center.
In 2013, the season will run from Oct 2 - 10, a particularly beautiful time in Big Sur.
