Just up from the N. Lombard Transit Center on the Max Yellow Line is a cozy coffee corner that's worth hopping off the train for. Cup Coffee is in an old Portland house serving great beverages and food in comfortable surroundings. Come for the espresso, stay for the breakfast burrito. Even when it's busy, the place is a sanctuary with its nooks and crannies. The fireplace is a nice focal point when it's chilly outside. The deck takes the vibe outdoors on nice days.

They use Stumptown as their local roaster and do a great interpretation of those beans in their brews. Great tea selection, too, if you're of that persuasion. This is a friendly, neighborhood place where a warm welcome is never optional. Take a ride on the rails up to NoPo and masquerade as a local with the folks at the Cup.
