Camping, swimming, canoeing, paddleboating, fly fishing, bird watching, hunting, picnicking, and playgrounds are popular in this park known for its history and scenic beauty. However, the best part are the series of hiking trails that lead not only to rock outcrops overlooking scenic valleys, but to the 78-foot cascading waterfall for which the part is named for. Known to the locals as McAfee Falls, it is Maryland's largest cascading waterfall.
