I was staying in Cumberland, Allegheny County, western Maryland in a business trip. Accidentally buy my hotel I ran to this little surprising hidden wine taste shop in a recently revitalized area called Canal Shops Place just by the historic Western Maryland Railway Station and C&O Canal. The wine are all locally produced by Charis Winery the first Allegheny Co winery. The winemaker owner is a joy to talk to and very informative on the history, wine making process, and grape verities on the East Coast. The shop has some interesting wines ranging from $12-$20 per bottle. Highly recommended for a nice interesting afternoon chat and tasting.
