Cultural Attractions
The West Sweden region has a lot of surprises in store for culture seekers. The inland town of Borås is known across the country for its street art. Buildings old and new have become a canvas, and the No Limit festival held every September sees yet more pieces added. Guided walking tours are held during the festival, but the real joy comes from exploring the city yourself and discovering a new creation around every corner. If you prefer something more traditional, head to the Nordic Watercolour Museum in the island village of Skärhamn. The stunning natural setting wows visitors before they even step inside to see works from the likes of Salvador Dalí. If you’re feeling inspired, the museum shop obliges with its stock of paints, brushes and paper.
