Pyramid in MalinalcoThe archaeological zone is the main attraction of Malinalco. Just walk up to to the top of the Cerro the los Ídolos and take your time to enjoy the view. Of course, the best time to visit is early in the morning or a few hours before the sunset.
You can’t miss the Cuauhcalli, or House of the Eagles, a building from around carved out from one big monolith. Archaeologists believe this is the place where the religious ceremonies to ordain eagle and jaguar warriors took place.
