A Taste of Xinjiang
Skip the (dubious) street skewers for the generous lamb kebabs at Crescent Moon. Authenticity abounds at this clean, roomy restaurant. The friendly owner can often be found smoking a hookah in the back, and the staff speak to each other in the stiff tones of the Uygher language. Menu highlights include the kao baozi, housemade yogurt, dapanji, and pretty much anything with lamb. Chase the cumin-infused dishes down with refreshing Xinjiang beer.
