Cosecha Aruban Craft Design & Heritage
In a 100-year-old building with a yellow facade perched on a corner in the capital is a bazaar of authentic—yes, we said it, and we totally mean it—Aruban items. All pieces are handcrafted by island artisans who have been SEYO-certified. (This seal issued by the island’s government follows criteria established by UNESCO to evaluate artisan items: originality, local identity, material use, craftsmanship, esthetics, and commercial value.) Look for vibrantly painted driftwood, jewelry crafted from glass, ceramic, and porcelain, and up-cycled accessories made from discarded rubber. Cosecha also offers craft workshops and there is a small restaurant. The market is closed on Sundays.
