When Pierce Brosnan debuted as 007 in 1995's GoldenEye his literal dive into the part was sealed in Bond fans’ memories. Brosnan's stunt double Wayne Michaels jumped off the Contra Dam in Ticino (in the film it was supposed to be a dam in Archangel, Russia) and ever since Bond fans have wanted to do the same thing. They are now able to, thanks to local outfitters offering jumps over the very dam Michaels (as 007) dove off of. It's a 220-meter drop down one of the world's most scenically sheer dam faces. If you get harnessed and can't do it (you get about a ten minute window to decide), you can just take in the view—you can see clear to Italy from the top. There are weight and age limits (no one under 10 and if you're over 60 you need a medical certificate) but the true limit is your own ability to stay calm like Bond in the face of one of the most heart-palpitating drops you've ever seen.
