When you step into the historic center of Colonial Williamsburg, you'll immediately be transported back to the 18th century when horses and buggies were the main mode of transportation and when men wore tights and wigs. During a tour of this living history museum, you'll discover the stories behind some of the homes and businesses. You'll also encounter actors decked out in their colonial garb and going about life as people did hundreds of years ago.
Loved Williamsburg. It is so fun and interesting to wander through colonial Williamsburg and see how they lived, worked and their traditions back all those years ago. But I will warn you don't go in Summer time as it is so hot you feel like you're smothering. I think Fall would be the best time. Also they have cute little shops that sell jewelry and other mementos.
