A Pioneer Concept Store
One of the world's original concept stores, this multi-level paean to all things cool remains mobbed nearly a decade after it was founded. It's a highly curated mix of men's and women's apparel, art books, skin products, record albums and more across multiple levels, plus a small café in the basement. On the ground level, trinkets and accessories—artsy mugs and cellphone cases, Smythson notebooks, KidRobot figurines—share space with vinyl records, headphones and the latest men's sneakers. Cult makeup brands are on the lower mezzanine—Nannette de Gaspé face masques, Edward Bess lipsticks—and upstairs is artfully staged with pricey hipster garb by the likes of Christian Dada and Sies Marjan.
