A Toast to the Haggis
Scotland's national dish is a divisive item. Its most vocal detractors, however, are those who are put off by the idea of eating a dish that consists of offal, oatmeal and spices which is then wrapped and boiled in a sheep's stomach. Those who actually try it tend to love it and there are no shortage of places to sample the dish in Glasgow. Hardcore haggis fans cite City Merchant, a long-standing restaurant in Merchant City that makes its haggis on-site, as having the best haggis in town.
