This Lutheran church is adjacent to the Old Town Square and is one of the Old Town’s most famous landmarks. Dating to the 14th century, the church has an austere, whitewashed exterior with stepped gables and an octagonal tower and surprisingly rich and evocative interiors, including a 15th-century altar by Bernte Notke and mid-17th-century paintings.
