Eating a big, juicy burger doesn’t have to be a guilt-inducing experience. Chuck Burger in Blue Mountain Village only serves local, naturally raised beef that’s free of antibiotics and hormones. All the patties are hand-formed daily with fresh meat, and even the rustic wood tables are local, handcrafted creations. Order the classic burger and jazz it up with cheese, bacon, or an extra patty. Or, go for one of the creative Chuck Burgers, such as the Norris, a towering behemoth with two patties, cheese, bacon, onion rings, tzatziki sauce, and sautéed onions. The less intense Santa Cruz is another good option with guacamole-chipotle mayo, cheddar cheese, lettuce, and onion. For the complete experience, add a side of shoestring fries or beefeater onion rings and, of course, a Canadian-made Jones Soda.
