Since 2006, the 90 year-old 137-foot S/V Roseway has spent her winters in St. Croix. Originally constructed and pressed into service in New England back in the 1920s, the Roseway was acquired by the World Ocean School, a non-profit educational organization headquartered in Camden, Maine in 2002. The School offers a series of programs benefiting school kids on St. Croix during the winter months. At the same time, afternoon and sunset sails are available to anyone with a desire for a little sailing adventure and $45. (The price drops to $35 for kids under 12 and seniors 65 and up).
