Chinese Temple, Kuala Lumpur
After the Batu Caves and before you hit the night markets, make your way to the Chinese Temple. Built in the 1980s, the temple is used for weddings and other services and home to a garden of giant, plastic Zodiac symbols. There's really nice views from the top that are not entirely ruined by persistent "Beware of Pickpocket" signs. The architecture is beautiful, but because it's from the 80s, there's a certain plastic quality to the whole place that made me chuckle with the irony that the Chinese Temple probably had a sign on it somewhere that read: "Made in China"
