Street eats in Chiang Mai
There is a time and a place for eating at restaurants with well-trained chefs concocting creative delicacies all within a pristine environment. New York City, Madrid, Paris, even Bangkok - yes, I'm all for it. But in Northern Thailand, the magic lies with the home grown chefs - the local ladies that cook specialties that have been passed down from generation to generation. Specials of the day include banana leaf wrapped pork, tom yum soup, grilled meats, noodle soups, stir fried morning glory, veggies galore and even sweet banana roti desserts. So simple, yet so good.
