Pictured here is the Chatham Tap, easily the best soccer bar in the USA, not just because it's been proclaimed as such by a couple of renowned publications that would know, but mostly because I say so. I've been to a lot of soccer pubs. I mean a LOT of soccer pubs.
This place was PACKED on mid-afternoons on Tuesday and Wednesday during the week I was there for Champions League games. They have a huge exposed cooling/heating duct on the ceiling that they call the "Relegation Pipe" because that's where they hang scarves of the teams that have been relegated from the EPL that haven't been immediately re-promoted. Oh, and they have the best wings in the city, and cool t-shirts on offer. There's also a wall display made of wood that shows the current EPL table that I'd be proud to hang in my freakin' living room. They have scarves on the walls of THIRD DIVISION teams, for goodness' sake. If you're a soccer fan and you're within 300 miles of this place, get yourself here. You're out of excuses.
