Cold is the heart that doesn’t appreciate the tale of a classic movie theater rescued from the brink of destruction. This beloved 1916 landmark has once again become a centerpiece of village culture since its reopening in 2013. Screening favorites like Back to the Future and Star Wars along with a contemporary art-house repertoire has proven to be a successful approach for this nonprofit cinema. Have dinner or a dessert at the on-site café and then carry your movie-inspired cocktail (a Holly Golightly, for instance, is fizzy prosecco with lemonade) to your seat to enjoy during the show. The concession stand carries treats from local bakeries and sweet shops, as well as popcorn with fresh butter.
