Atlanta's Most Beloved Music Venue
When it comes to music, summer means one thing in Atlanta: Chastain. Local music buffs head over to Chastain Park, home to the amphitheater built in 1944. The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra started playing here in 1973, followed by famous names like Heart, Diana Ross, Ringo Starr, and Kenny Rogers, as well as more modern favorites, like Sigur Ros, Edwin McCain, and Guster. Go early and bring a picnic dinner and bottle of wine.
