Charlie and Marie Lupton Baseball Stadium

3700 W Berry St, Fort Worth, TX 76129, USA

I loved growing up in Fort Worth and I’m convinced it’s the ‘next Austin'. The parks, the modern art scene, the Trinity River, the growing gourmet food scene are all such hits. Don’t forget Sundance Square, Cowtown, Billy Bob’s or the Bass Hall. There’s so much to love about Fort Worth and a lot of it has to do with the spirit of the students at our hometown university: TCU. I feel the need to explain the title of this highlight, so that you’re not worried. The (fearsome) mascot for TCU is the horned frog. It’s in the running for my favorite mascot in all of college athletics and the recent motto of the hometown fans has been ‘Fear the Frog’. I love it. My father played baseball for TCU back when they were SWC champions and I grew up going to games and learning the fundamentals through his commentary. TCU recently built this beautiful new ballpark (due much to the efforts of TCU’s all-time winningest coach Lance Brown) and it’s a great way to spend an afternoon in town. After the game, I’d encourage you to head over to Camp Bowie and grab the best burger in Texas at Kincaid’s. Riff, ram, bah, zoo, go Frogs!
