The 18-hole course at the Chardonnay Golf Club in Jamieson Canyon meanders through 150 acres of chardonnay, pinot noir, and merlot vineyards, crossing creeks and lakes along the way. Unlike other courses in the area, this one does not back up to homes. Instead, Chardonnay sits adjacent to some wildlife preserves, so most tee times include sightings of migratory birds, bobcats, kestrels, and even a golden eagle. Golfers are encouraged to work the course with a cart, and cart rentals are included with greens fees. The course also has a full-service bar and restaurant in the clubhouse for celebrating with an after-golf drink. Resident pros estimate 4 to 4.5 hours for completing a round at Chardonnay. Plan accordingly.
