A local's recommendation led up to Chapmans Peak Restaurant for its famous calamari. The outdoor terrace lent a serene backdrop with the sun lowering over Hout Bay as we made selections from the seafood, steak, salad menu.
The succulent Calamari, served in the pan and renowned for being the most tender and best-tasting Calamari in the world, was our favorite from the trip. Devil's Peak Brewing Company's flagship IPA, The King's Blockhouse was the perfect, post-beach, pre-dinner treat. However, the service is what we continued talk about the day after. We loved everything about this restaurant and were disappointed that we were unable to return before the trip was over.
