César Manrique Foundation
Also known as Taro de Tahíche, the César Manrique Foundation’s museum was originally the artist’s late-1960s studio-home in a hamlet outside of Arrecife. The all-white house is nestled right into the volcanic lava flows, making for bubblelike stone interiors, and surrounds a small swimming pool. Today, Manrique’s own sculptures and a huge garden mural are on display, as well as works by Picasso and Miró. The foundation also works to protect the environment of Lanzarote.
