Cercis Murat Konağı, or Cercis Murat Mansion, offers a simply delightful dining experience. Though it's more pricey than most places in the region, it is not to be missed. Start with a tray of appetizers, served as a scoop in deep metal spoons. The portions are quite large, so two people could easily share a main dish. Lamb is the most common entree and is prepared in a variety of delicious ways. Regional red wine is served in wide copper cups, and the interior decorations are unique to the area. The patio provides a beautiful view of the Mesopotamian plains that is especially nice at sunset.
