Snorkeling in the Cayman Islands
This was the first time I had ever snorkeled and I was terrified! After about five minutes, I was a pro. I saw hundreds of different types of fish and coral; it was amazing! Make sure you bring an underwater camera!

While sitting on the plane, eagerly anticipating my first time arrival to the Caribbean Wonderland, the Cayman Islands, my friend nudges my arm. She says to me, “Just wait, as soon as you step off the plane, all of your worries, all of your stress will instantly lift off your shoulders and float away in the breeze”. She must have said that because I kept babbling on and on about work, relationship anxieties, and everything else people deal with on a daily basis. Her statement puts me at ease but I don’t fully comprehend what she means until we land and I step off the plane. The bright sun and salty sea air hits my face and immediately strikes my being with a sense of serenity. After clearing customs and arriving to the condominium, I drop my bags and walk out to the beach. Soft white sand caresses my toes as I descend towards the ocean. The clear blue water extends outward to the end of the horizon while it inhales and exhales each wave onto the beach. Small fish swim in schools around the fossilized coral near my feet and I realize how incredible the Cayman Islands truly are. Whether you want to swim with the stingrays at Stingray City, go scuba diving at the barrier reef, eat fresh conch at a five star restaurant, or sit on the beach and marvel at the beauty of the island, there is an array of activities for every person. I love this place because the incredible ambiance of the Cayman Islands takes you from your everyday stresses into a wonderland of Caribbean delight.
