Cayman Brac MuseumThough the ruggedly gorgeous Cayman Brac is better known for its outdoors than its interior displays, one notable exception sits on the side of the road in Stake Bay, where you’ll find a sweet little white-wood outpost with blue accents. Occupying the island’s Old Government Administration Building—built in 1933 to house a post office, customs office, and treasury, among other things—the Cayman Brac Museum is now home to a fascinating collection of artifacts, reproductions (you can’t miss the scale model of the Caymanian catboat), and elements of local lore—whether about 20th-century home life, historic hurricanes, or the intersection of the two.
