Cathédrale de Vannes
It took seven centuries to complete this impressive Gothic church—a fact that accounts for its array of architectural features, from the Romanesque tower to the Renaissance chapel. One of the largest cathedrals in Brittany, it’s also home to historic tombs, beautiful stained glass windows, important artworks, and an imposing facade that stands out among the half-timbered houses, charming squares, and quaint cafés of Vannes’s atmospheric Quartier Médiéval.
