Casa Tua Cucina Joins Miami's Food Hall Frenzy
Casa Tua Cucina is one of nearly a dozen new food halls that have opened across South Florida - and I've begun making the rounds with Casa Tua Cucina being my first stop. It's the first food hall in the U.S. for Saks Fifth Avenue in partnerships with Casa Tua, which is an iconic hotel, restaurant and private members club in Miami and Aspen (visited by the likes of Karl Lagerfeld, Naomi Campbell, Jennifer Lopez and John Legend). There are 10 different dining stations with so many options I didn’t know where to start, so naturally I went straight for the pizza. Luckily I had a friend with me to help eat through the menu. The truffle and margarita pizza are perfection – you can watch the pizza chef making it right in front of you and after about 3 minutes in the oven, voila! Next up was the crudo which was super fresh, then the salad bar where we had a mozzarella caprese salad with pesto. The pasta station was my favorite, you can watch the chef’s hand making pasta. The Cacio e Pepe was delicious with just the perfect amount of sauce. Casa Tua Cucina also has a flower market with gorgeous arrangements and orchids, but a bit pricey. There is a full bar with over 60 wines and local beer on tap. Overall the experience was fantastic, and I plan to head back for a second round to get a taste of all the other food I didn’t get a chance to try – steak, oysters, panini's, and dessert!!
