Carrigan’s Public House certainly lives up to the “gastronomy” part of its status as a gastropub. In addition to craft cocktails that highlight fresh ingredients, you’ll find a menu of haute comfort food, with dishes like oxtail chili, Panko fried chicken, and a sweetbreads po’ boy. Whatever you order, save room for the maple-bacon bread pudding. In the summer, request a table on the outdoor terrace, but be sure to take a peek at the bar inside—part of it is made from an old Land Rover. Check Carrigan’s Facebook page for upcoming events such as film screenings and art pop-ups.
