This swanky beachside bar and restaurant is a popular spot for sundowners in Dar Es Salaam. The décor is light and modern, with blue uplighters, wooden floors and a breezy terrace overlooking the glittering ocean filled with tiny fishing boats. Although it’s a fish restaurant there’s a decent selection of vegetarian options here, like the fresh and crunchy spring rolls with zingy dipping sauce and avocado sushi rolls. Around 6pm is the best time to arrive to catch the whole sunset while sipping a South African wine or happy hour cocktail. But don’t plan on walking home in a straight line: the Long Island Iced Tea packs a punch.
