Blue Train alternative

If the cost of the Blue Train is out of your reach but you love the idea of taking a luxury train on this route, consider taking the once-weekly, lightly promoted Premier Class train between Jo’burg and Cape Town. This consists of near-luxury private cars added on to the regular train running that route. Excellent service and quite decent food, you’ll find as many locals as tourists traveling Premier Class, for about 1/3 the cost of the Blue Train. http://www.southafricanrailways.co.za/premier_classe.html
