Cape Coral Historical Society

Local History: Cape Coral History Museum
The city of Cape Coral dates back to the 1950s, when the building that now houses the museum served as a restaurant. Still maintaining the quaint charm and residential character, the Cape Coral History Museum showcases the city's history in three buildings on the museum campus.

The museum includes a look back on Cape Coral, the Cape Coral Country Club, Yacht Club, the Rose Garden Mural, the Gulf American Land Corporation, the Cracker House & Homesteaders, local military history, and local Native American history.

Be sure to check out the rose garden onsite as well as the Demonstration Native Landscapes and Reference Library & Gift Shop.
