Though the Park City Farmers' Market at Canyons Resort runs Wednesdays (noon to 6 p.m.) June through October, fall offers the most prolific bounty, with native tomatoes and peaches topping the charts. Aside from amazing locally grown produce, you'll find handcrafts (wooden carvings, lawn art); clothing (tie-dye skirts, hand-knit alpaca scarves); and ready-to-go picnic/dinner items like fresh baguettes from a local baker and homemade tamales. Don't forget to grab a big bouquet of sunflowers to light up your autumn dining table.
Ever wish you could be the only one on the ski slopes? At Canyons Resort, you can. On Tuesdays and Saturdays during ski season, their First Tracks program takes small groups of skiers (along with guiding ski patrollers and a few skiing celebs like local Olympian Holly Flanders) on a one-hour before the mountain opens to the public ski/snowboard experience. You'll get all of the powder, or groomed corduroy for yourself, see the sun come up, and feel like queen of the mountain. You end with a hot buffet breakfast at Red Pine Lodge as other skiers start to show up. You must be an intermediate or higher level skier/rider to attend; reservations required.
