Cantor Arts CenterAdmission is free at the Cantor Arts Center. The museum is based on the collection of art that the Stanford family bought during their travels around the world. The museum was created so that the public and the students of the university could have a learning experience at the museum. The permanent collection covers 5000 years of art history and there are temporary exhibitions all the time.
One of the best collections of Rodin bronze sculpture can be found here. B. Gerald Cantor was a prominent art collector and he donated more than 200 pieces of Rodin’s work to the museum. Rodin’s Gates of Hell are in the sculpture garden. One of Rodin’s most famous works is the Age of Bronze, a beautiful sculpture of a young man. The Museum Store is very good and has a large collection of art books.
