Regardless of how well you ski, you can get a sense of what it's like to be an Olympian at the Canmore Nordic Centre, about an hour west of Calgary. The vast facility—with nearly 45 miles of trails to suit all levels—was created to host cross-country events during the 1988 Calgary Olympics. With its own snowmaking equipment, the Nordic Centre attracts skiers all winter long, regardless of whether it has actually been snowing. Hit the trails or cheer on your favorite athlete in a cross-country race or biathlon event. Check out the Olympic trials in December and January.
