It may seem surprising to suggest that cruise passengers board smaller boats to tour St. Petersburg. A boat tour is, however, one of the most memorable ways to see the city built on two rivers—the Neva and Moika—and a network of canals. A number of operators follow itineraries that include the historic center of St. Petersburg or ones that venture farther out to the suburban palaces. Whichever you choose, you’ll have a unique perspective on the city’s 60 bridges and its stately neoclassical buildings.
