Camp Bay Lodge
Making friends at Camp Bay Lodge, East Roatan, Honduras
We took the curve around the corner the east end beach to follow a kite surfer and came upon a Guatemalan family with seven kids (two were no there on the family holiday as they had to work). The youngest son said he recognised us from our visit to Sumpango Kite Festival in Guatemala, a month ago. We were indeed there. He kept our three-year-old entertained with stories and tickles. We met the owners of the Camp Bay Lodge, who were welcoming and we had a look around the newly renovated boutique hotel. We arranged to return, and extended our stay in East Roatan. On our return we meet another wonderful family, was invited to a party, and made friends that we really care about. Visit this end of the island, the right people are attracted to this spot.
