"Man", a German hermit and sculptor, arrived in the small town of Camelle in northern Galicia, Spain
in 1962. He lived in a small hut near the ocean and created sculptures out of the stones, driftwood and other items washed up by the ocean currents. He died in 2002 after an oil spill destroyed much of his artwork. The town still remembers him fondly and is working to preserve what is left of his artwork.
