Founded in the 12th century as an Augustinian monastery, only the foundation remains. There is a little cemetery on the grounds also. James III and his wife, Margret of Denmark, were buried here.
Since only the foundation remains there is not a lot to see but it is rich in history and a beautiful building. There are cows in abundance on the grounds, one of which tried to eat my jacket but otherwise were harmless.
I walked here from Stirling city center, which is about a mile away.
