Calle López, 55755 Méx., Mexico
Mexico City Street FoodMexico City is a sprawling, rambunctious, unapologetically messy city, sometimes intimidating, always surprising. Everyone who loves food know that some of the best, most memorable street food in the world can be found here.
On Calle Lopez, near the Palacio de las Bellas Artes in the Centro, is an unnamed taqueria where on one nippy November morning I savored the freshest, most invigorating tacos I've ever had. From the delightful fillings on this traditional grill/warmer known as comal, I had the guisado (pork in gravy) and the ala Mexicana (eggs with onions, tomatoes, and peppers), two great ways to begin any day.
