Watch the famous jumping frogs of Calaveras County
Each year, participants gather with their slimy amphibian friends and hope for a few great hops. "The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County" is a short story written by Mark Twain in 1865 and set in Angels Camp, Calif. The annual jumping competition honors Twain's story and pits 50 finalists in the jump of their lives. So far the record two-hop jump sits at just over 21 feet.
