While Cala Luna may be the best known beach along the Golfo di Orosei, anyone who's visited secretly believes that Cala Mariolu is the most beautiful. The huge boulders are the perfect height for jumping into the crystal clear waters, and a mini cove filled with fish is popular with snorkelers. There's even a small snack stand and a lifeguard during the busy days of the summer.
If you book a day trip to explore the different beaches along the gulf, you'll mostly likely get around and hour and a half to two hours on three different beaches. But if you're staying in Cala Gonone longer, chances are you'll be returning to Cala Mariolu every day for the rest of your vacation.
